Menorah Address Stamp, Personalized for Hanukkah and Beyond

Made to order in a range of widths, filled and ready to use.

Your Cards Go Out on a Moving Target

Hanukkah mail has a timing problem that Christmas does not. The dates shift, so some years your cards need to go out before Thanksgiving has fully settled, and other years you have until well into December. A stamp means the return address is never the thing holding you up.

Blue is the natural pick here, though the design reads cleanly in any color.

Boutique Stamps & Gifts makes this one in a range of widths. Unlike most seasonal designs, a menorah does not have to go back in the drawer come January, so many households keep it out as one of their everyday address stamps rather than a once-a-year item.

Self-Inking vs Pre-Inked

The self-inking stamp has a water based ink pad within the stamp that re-inks every time an impression is made. The pre-inked stamp has an ink reservoir behind the stamp that you refill with oil based ink.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which ink color works best with this design?

Blue, for the traditional look. Black is the safer choice if the same stamp is also going on parcels and everyday mail, since it reads on more surfaces.

Can we use it outside of Hanukkah?

Plenty of people do. A menorah is not tied to a season the way a snowman is, so it works perfectly well as a household address stamp all year rather than only in winter.

Does Hanukkah fall at the same time each year?

No, and it is worth planning around. The dates follow the Hebrew calendar, so they shift against the Gregorian one and can land anywhere from late November to close to Christmas. Some years you have plenty of runway for cards, some years far less. Check the date before you leave ordering too late.

Would this work for a bar or bat mitzvah mailing?

It could, though a menorah reads as generally Jewish rather than specific to the occasion, so it may not feel tailored enough for invitations. For something built around the event itself, our Design Your Own range lets you start from scratch. If you just need a return address on the outer envelopes and want it to feel right, this does that job well.
